Nagoya University Emeritus Professor Masanori Aikyo has been awarded the 2024 Foreign Minister’s Commendation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Japan. Professor Aikyo, of the Graduate School of Law, received the award for his work in building cooperative legal education frameworks between Japan and Vietnam.
Also recognized was Fernando C. Sanchez Jr., former Chancellor of the University of the Philippines, Los Baños. Professor Sanchez was Chancellor at the time of the founding of the Nagoya University Asian Satellite Campuses Institute office at UP Los Baños, and we remain thankful for his contribution to Nagoya University’s operations in the Philippines.
