Global Engagement

Guests from Nanjing University visit Nagoya University to discuss ongoing partnerships, research, and student exchange

On May 30, Nagoya University was pleased to welcome a delegation from Nanjing University, China, including Professor Tan Zhe-Min, President, Professor Wang Wei, Vice Dean, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Professor Wang Yihong, Director, Japanese Department, School of Foreign Studies, Dr. Li Xiaorong, Director, Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, and Ms. Yu Hanzhang, Program Manager, Office of International Cooperation and Exchange.

Nanjing University is one of Nagoya University’s oldest partners, with a relationship dating back to 1979. This cooperation included research, student exchange, and international university consortia. The visitors met with Professor Norimi Mizutani, Vice President for International Affairs, and representatives from Nagoya University’s international departments, where they discussed the ongoing partnership between the two universities as it approaches its 50th anniversary.It has been a pleasure to have such a long-standing partnership with Nanjing University, and Nagoya University looks forward to many more years of successful international cooperation and student exchange.
