Nagoya University’s Formula Team FEM won first place in the EV class at “Formula SAE Japan 2025 -Manufacturing/Design Competition-” held from September 8 to 13, 2025, at Aichi Sky Expo (Aichi International Exhibition Center, Aichi Prefecture)

In the student formula, students conceive, design, and manufacture formula-style vehicles themselves. The competition evaluates not only dynamic events that test vehicle performance, but also static events that assess manufacturing techniques, production methods, business planning, and marketing. It is a comprehensive competition that evaluates overall manufacturing capability. This year’s competition featured 84 teams from Japan and abroad, including 25 teams in the EV class.

The competition allows both internal combustion vehicles (ICV) and electric vehicles (EV). Nagoya University’s Formula Team FEM competed in the EV class and achieved victory. This marks their third consecutive championship since 2023, and the team also received numerous special awards.
