Prof. Itami at the Institute of Transformative Bio-Molecules Receives 10th JSPS Prize

Professor Kenichiro Itami, Director of the Institute of Transformative Bio-Molecules, NagoyaUniversity, has received the 10th JSPS Prize (FY2013).

This prize, awarded by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, aims to recognize, at an early stage, researchers with fresh ideas who have the potential to become world leaders or candidates for the Nobel Prize in their fields. In doing so, the prize intends to help them advance their research and achieve a breakthrough in it.

The subject of his prize-winning research project is "Development and Applications of Precise and Rapid Synthetic Methods for Arene-Assembled Molecules."
