Nagoya University offers undergraduate degree programs taught in Japanese across all schools and departments. These programs provide international students the opportunity to study alongside Japanese students in their chosen field while developing advanced Japanese language proficiency.
Students who wish to pursue degree programs taught in Japanese should have sufficient Japanese language ability to participate in lectures, seminars, and research activities. Most programs require Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1 level.
For detailed information about admission requirements, application procedures, and available programs in your field of interest, please visit the Japanese language admissions site and the individual undergraduate school pages.
General admissions
There are several routes to general admissions in April, including the general examination and school recommendation. Please see the Japanese admissions website for full details.
