The Nagoya University Short-Term Japanese Language Program (NUSTEP) is a two-week intensive Japanese language program designed for degree-seeking students enrolled at universities with academic exchange agreements with Nagoya University. The program combines specialized Japanese language instruction with faculty lectures, aiming to promote deeper understanding of Japanese culture and society. Participants engage in both on-campus and off-campus activities including cultural excursions, field trips, and exchanges with Nagoya University students, providing comprehensive exposure to Japanese academic and cultural environments.
All program participants receive a completion certificate upon finishing the program. NUSTEP provides students with practical language skills while offering firsthand experience of Nagoya University’s academic community. The program serves as an introduction to potential longer-term study opportunities at Nagoya University, allowing participants to explore research interests in Japanese studies while building language proficiency in an immersive academic setting.
