Nagoya University Receives Certificate of Appreciation from Local Fire Department

Nagoya University opened a building planned to be demolished to local fire departments in November 2016 as a venue for firefighters’ trainings, including fire extinction, demolition, and set-up of an aerial ladder truck. Also, the University’s Environment, Health & Safety Office and Facilities Control Department conducted joint large scale live fire training and ventilation trainings with local fire departments in an effort to enhance both entities’ awareness and techniques for fire fighting.

The Chikusa Fire Department, which is responsible for this jurisdiction, presented the University a certificate of appreciation on January 19, 2017 for its significant cooperation.
