Important Notice Regarding the AY 2020 Nagoya University Entrance Ceremony

Nagoya University sincerely regrets to announce that the university entrance ceremony scheduled for April 5, 2020 (Sun) has been cancelled. This decision has been made in order to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, as well as to prioritize the health and safety of our new students.

The entrance ceremony is a joyous occasion for students, their guardians and the other important people in their lives. This decision was not taken lightly and so it is with the deepest regret that we announce its cancellation.

The President’s welcoming message will be posted on the university website on Wednesday, April 1.

We congratulate our students on their entrance into Nagoya University and we will make every effort to support their academic and other various endeavors.

Other Events at Each Undergraduate/Graduate School:

The orientations for guardians scheduled for April 5, 2020 (Sun) at some undergraduate schools have also been cancelled.

If they are decided to be held on another day, the information will be posted on each undergraduate school’s website.
