Nagoya University Emeritus Professor Hidemi Goto Selected to Receive the Foreign Minister’s Commendations for FY2018

Nagoya University Emeritus Professor Hidemi Goto has been selected to receive the Foreign Minister’s Commendations for FY2018.

The Commendations are awarded to individuals and groups with particularly outstanding achievements, who have been selected from those playing active roles in various fields related to international affairs and making significant contributions to the promotion of friendship between Japan and other countries. The Commendations aim to recognize their achievements and encourage the public to understand and support the activities of the awardees.

Emeritus Professor Goto has been selected to receive the award for his achievement in the "promotion of mutual understanding between Japan and Vietnam."

The awarding ceremony will be held on July 24, 2018, at the Foreign Ministry’s Iikura Guesthouse in Tokyo.
