Kobayashi-Maskawa Institute for the Origin of Particles and the Universe

The Kobayashi-Maskawa Institute for the Origin of Particles and the Universe is comprised of the Center of Theoretical Studies and the Center of Experimental Studies; its research development aims to cultivate a new modern physics that moves beyond the standard model. Under the supervision of Director General Dr. Maskawa Toshihide, it integrates researchers in fields such as theoretical and experimental particle physics, theoretical and observational astrophysics, mathematical physics, and cosmic ray physics, who are affiliated with the Graduate School of Science, the Graduate School of Mathematics, and the Solar-Terrestrial Environment Laboratory.
